Information Descriptions and Formats

SmartGig Arizona content is available in a variety of formats on a wide variety of subject matter. Traditional Conference Sessions anchor the program, and in addition, attendees can opt for a deeper dive into subjects in one of the Workshops available and a whole range of 30-minute Executive Briefings which can be small group or One-on-One discussions.

Keynotes

Top speakers, trendsetters, evangelists and experts in the field take to stage to set out the strategic road-map of the most current issues – including a reality check – and challenge conventional thinking.

Panel Discussion

Each session features a panel of experts ready to discuss a topic that cannot be easily resolved by just one or two persons. Subjects range from policy and regulation to busines models and technology. Participants include the panel members who consist of experts in the field concerned; the audience who ask questions of the panelists; and the moderator who initiates the discussion, questions, synthesizes and summarizes the key points.

SmartGig Town Hall

The main objective of the Town Hall sessions is to bring community stakeholders around one table, and engage in an an open and candid conversation about key issues affecting all. This is where the community as a whole gets a candid assessment of where other civic leaders are in the planning for smart city deployments; hear ‘lessons learned’, and discuss the unique nature of the regional marketplace.

Exhibits & Demos

Nothing is more convincing than seeing technology in action. These live Demos aim not only to introduce new applications and tools, but to give everyone present the chance to touch, feel and experience the forefront of new technology.

SmartGig Briefings:

The goals of the these Briefings are to give delegates the opportunity to delve deeper into a specialized topic of their interest — legal, policy, technology, or other — in a small group setting (or even One-to-One) to exchange experiences, challenges, ask questions and find possible solutions.
Eligibility: All attendees; full conference, day pass and exhibit hall only.

SmartGig Workshops

These sessions are designed with specific audiences in mind, and deliver a 90-minute informational session that combines presentations and panels. Whether it is focused on specific issues (“How does 5G affect a municipality”) or specific technology trends (“Policy Guidelines for Autonomous Vehicles”), these sessions are accessible to attendees on an individual workshop basis, a Day Pass or a Full Conference Pass.
